Peter & Gilly
Peter has studied heraldry since he first visited the College of Arms in London in 1952 at the age of seventeen. He was conscripted into the Intelligence Corps in 1954 serving in Egypt until 1956. He was a
professional cartoonist and caricaturist, and studied sculpture at St Martin's School of Art under (Dame) Elizabeth Frink.

An accomplished artist, Peter often produces illustrations of the miniatures they craft.

In the sixties he became a London fashion and beauty photographer in the advertising business.
 Gilly, who was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, was
a professional actress for twenty-five years up until 1982, working under her maiden name of Gillian Barclay.
Between them they also ran the British Toymakers Guild for eight years in the seventies, acquiring an extensive knowledge of different craft disciplines which they have been able to utilize in the
enhancement of their work in the miniatures field.
Peter is a member of the Heraldry Society, and was a founder member of the Society of Heraldic
Arts and its Chairman for four years. He is an Honorary Member of the Guild of Master Craftsmen.
