"Creating Miniature Knights" published by Scramasax was launched at the Stibbert`s Museum in Florence on 26th May 2005.

Co-written by Peter Greenhill & Mario Venturi with an Introduction by Federico Canaccini and a Foreward by Moira MacFarlane, the British Consul to Florence. The text is in English and Italian.

It is a 182 page, 12 x 8.5 inches full colour hard back edition containing 150 colour photographs, 25 colour illustrations, 20 black and white illustrations, 3 battle plans and 290 coloured shields of Arms.

 

"Creating Miniature Knights" deals primarily with the 100 years war and specifically with the Battles of Crecy, Poitiers & Agincourt. It is illustrated by the figures of Peter Greenhill, Mario Venturi and Richard Courtenay with additional work by Mignot (C.B.G.), Frederick Ping, Roy Selwyn Smith, J.P .Thomas Jr. & Gustave Vertunni. Backgrounds to Peter Greenhill`s photography are by the model maker Ian Weekley and additional illuminations, decorations and drawings, including contemporary armour designs, are by Angelica Cortini.

Peters' book "Heraldic Miniature Knights" was published by the Guild of Master Craftsmen in 1991 and has become required reference material on the subject on both sides of the Atlantic.

"Heraldic Miniature Knights" is a full colour hard back book approximately 11.75 x 8.75 inches which contains hundreds of colour photographs many being full page plates.

With a foreword written by the film star, the late Douglas Fairbanks Jr. KBE, DSC., avid collector of toy soldiers and Courtenay and Courtenay-Greenhill model knights

The book includes chapters on Heraldry, Richard Courtenay, Frederic Ping and Peter Greenhill, Roy Selwyn Smith, European Miniaturists, John Braithwaite and others, with colour photographs of their work.

Published in September 2004 this book encompasses toy knights of British, European and some of the American manufactures. Hardback, 144 pages with 507 illustrations, 470 in colour and 37 in black & white.
